Classic Synth for ASM Hydrasynth Series is a versatile sound collection created for musicians, producers and sound designers who want to expand their instrument with 64 original presets for modern production, cinematic scoring and expressive live performance.
The library combines classic synthesizer character with the advanced sound-design capabilities of the Hydrasynth. Its broad sonic palette includes dreamy pads, shimmering bells, expressive leads, powerful basses, digital pianos, atmospheric textures, rhythmic sounds, drones, organs, choirs and experimental timbres.
Each preset was created entirely from scratch by sound designer Nicola Bruno, using the Hydrasynth’s synthesis architecture to produce detailed, playable and distinctive sounds. The collection moves naturally between vintage-inspired colors, 1980s textures, modern digital synthesis and cinematic sound design.
The keyboard section includes FM-style pianos, electric piano textures and hybrid tones such as Brite DX, Vibe Piano, Vibro Rhodes, Pulse Piano, Ambipiano, Air Piano and Tremopiano. These sounds provide both familiar keyboard character and more experimental harmonic movement.
Pads and atmospheric presets form a central part of the collection. VHS Dreams, Hologram, Afterdream, Phasor Pad, Interstellar, Shaper Pad, Bowed Pad, Future Dream, Clouds, Metal Pad, ResoCalm Atmo, Turning Atmo and Farfi Duo Atmo offer a wide range of evolving backgrounds for ambient, cinematic and progressive productions.
The lead and performance section includes sounds such as DX Lead, Vintage Lead, Talk Lead, Scream and Shout, PowerChord and ClassicPhatty, while AddiBass, Progdrone, DaftFunky, Random FM, Wavescanner and Polyrthyme expand the bank with basses, drones, rhythmic textures and experimental digital movement.
Real-time control through the Hydrasynth’s knobs and performance system allows players to reshape the presets while playing. The instrument’s expressive architecture, including MPE support on compatible models, makes the collection particularly effective for evolving pads, dynamic textures and articulated lead sounds.
