The Packs are made up of a collection of Patches that have been made for a precise purpose.
The goal is to make a universal, enjoyable work, easy to understand and simple to use by the customer.

Package

Contents

The Packs are made of:

  • THE FILE to load into the Synthesizer
  • THE DESCRIPTION of the collection
  • THE COVER IMAGE for that pack
  • THE COPYRIGHT documentation
  • THE PATCHES LIST for that collection
  • The HOW TO LOAD description

The file

The file must be simple and easy to load. If the files need to be created separately, they must be compressed into a ZIP File. The name of the file must not be or contain any copyright covered Artist name.

Example:

KORG KRONOS PF COVER PACK
(A collection of patches inspired by the sounds used by Pink Floyd, made for the Korg Kronos Synthesizer)

The name of the single patch must contain part of the collection's name.

Example:

  1. PF Shine on pad
  2. PF Shine hammond
and so on....

The description

The description is really important. This file will be transcripted directly onto the website, on the respective page for each product. It must be a simple .txt file and it must contain the following:

  • The title of the pack
  • The name of the author
  • A short introduction
  • The patches List
  • The link to the youtube and/or soundcloud demo
Example:

NORD LEAD 2X MONSTER PACK BY USER1

This collection contains 100 patches, programmed by USER1. Aggressive Leads, Dreamy Pads and Groovy Keys makes this collection a "must have" for all musical styles.

Patch list:
  1. Init
  2. Leading Saws
  3. Saw keys
and so on....

The cover image

The cover image will be created by the Graphic Designer, but it must be cleared with the Team Leader before hand, along with the file name. It must not contain any logo or name, but its contents needs to be easily recognized.

The copyright docs

The file must be copyrighted towards the artist responsible. You can download the documentation along with this guide. This document will protect your rights towards your sounds and our calibration.

The patch list

This file must be of .txt or .PDF format. It must contain the list of the patches for that collection. It is highly recommended that an explanation is given for any specific Midi controls for each sound (This information however will not be included within the (2) description file)

  1. PF Shine on pad (Knob 1 adds.....)

Our philosophy

The created pack must be named in accord to a specific Band, Musical style or anything that can be easily Grouped.
We will NOT accept anything personal that says "My Sounds Pack" file or anything similar.

The most common types of packs are:

  • Synth category packs - Ex: Lead Pack (Basic Synth Leads pack)
  • Cover Band Packs - Ex: PF Collection (Inspired by Pink Floyd Sounds)
  • Thematic Packs - Ex: Ultimate Leads (A huge collection of famous leads)
