Planet K2 is a new sound library for the legendary Kurzweil K2000 series, created as a fresh update for the classic Kurzweil K2x family.
Inspired by the iconic digital workstation character of the Kurzweil K2000 and its powerful VAST architecture, this library brings together a compact but expressive collection of synth pads, basses, textures, effects and synth sounds designed for musicians, producers and sound designers who want to expand their Kurzweil sound palette.
The Kurzweil K2000 became one of the most respected digital workstations of the 1990s thanks to its deep synthesis engine and flexible sound design possibilities. With Variable Architecture Synthesis Technology, musicians could build complex synthesis structures using oscillators, filters, distortion, modulation and layered sound design inside a powerful digital environment.
Planet K2 includes 64 programs, 44 keymaps and 1192k sample data, delivered as a KRZ file. The library has a total size of 1252 kilobytes, making it easy to load into the instrument using the original floppy drive, a floppy emulator or other compatible media.
The soundset is fully compatible with the Kurzweil K2000 series, including rack, original and VP versions. It is also compatible with the Kurzweil K2500 and K2600 series.
The demo tune was recorded in real time and does not contain external effects or any processing, allowing you to hear the sound library as it comes directly from the instrument.
