JD-X Analog Classic Synth for UVI Falcon is a powerful sound library designed to bring the analog character of the Roland JD-XA hardware synthesizer into UVI Falcon.
This collection includes 103 patches for UVI Falcon, built from more than 16,000 samples captured mainly from the analog section of the Roland JD-XA, with an additional part of the sample content coming from the digital section of the instrument.
The library delivers 5.8 GB of content in 48 kHz / 24-bit quality, offering a detailed and expressive sound palette for modern producers, composers, and sound designers looking for analog warmth, hybrid synth textures, and performance-ready sounds.
The Roland JD-XA is known for combining true analog synthesis with digital versatility, and this library focuses especially on the rich, warm, and characterful sound of its analog engine. The result is a deep and flexible collection of bass sounds, bells, leads, pads, plucks, and synth patches ready to use in modern electronic music production.
All patches include built-in UVI Falcon effects, available in the EDIT tab, including Thorus chorus, Delay, and Reverb. These effects can be adjusted to suit your production needs or disabled for a cleaner sound.
For recording, a Ferrofish Pulse 16 MX and RME Madiface USB audio interface were used. The original material was recorded in WAV format at 192 kHz / 24-bit and then resampled to 48 kHz / 24-bit.
Each UVI Falcon program is built from samples of every note within the playable range. Some programs include several cyclic Round Robin layers, usually 3 or more, especially for sounds taken from the analog section of the Roland JD-XA. In single-layer programs, samples can start from a randomized position to help avoid the typical “machine gun” effect when repeating the same note.
Many programs use the CC1 MIDI controller, usually assigned to the modulation wheel, for vibrato. In some patches, CC1 controls chorus or a Low-Pass Filter, adding real-time expression and performance flexibility. In many programs, Velocity is also assigned to a Low-Pass Filter, allowing softer playing to produce a darker and more filtered tone.
Editing tools for JD-XA Classic Analog for UVI Falcon patches are available in the EDIT tab of the UVI Falcon interface.
Install:
Unpack the archive to a place convenient for you;
Open UVI Falcon, click on the folder in it in the upper right corner “Show file browser”;
In the “Devices” section, find the location where you copied the library;
Right-click on the "JD-XA Classic Analog for UVI Falcon" folder and select "Add to Favorite Places" and it will be available in the "Locations" section.
After copying the entire library to your computer, the “JD-XA Classic Analog for UVI Falcon” folder should contain the following folders: Bass, Bell, Lead, Pad, Pluck, Synth.
Note: Requires UVI Falcon version 3.0.2 and higher.
"JD-XA Classic Analog for UVI Falcon" will not work on a UVI Workstation.
For stable operation of “JD-XA Classic Analog for UVI Falcon” it is recommended to install it on an SSD drive.
It is not recommended to rename folders and files from the JD-XA Classic Analog for UVI Falcon directory, or change their structure.
If you have been using "JD-XA Classic Analog for UVI Falcon" for some time and for some reason moved its directory to another drive or folder, then when opening DAW projects that were created earlier, you will need to specify new directory location “JD-XA Classic Analog for UVI Falcon” for all instances of Falcons loaded into the DAW project, so it's better not to move this directory unless necessary.
