Octavarium Cover Pack is a complete Dream Theater-inspired sound collection created for Korg M50 and also playable on Korg M3, Krome and Krome EX. Developed by ShadyStraz, the pack provides the keyboard sounds and performance setups required to play the complete Octavarium album.
The collection was originally designed around the specifications and architecture of the Korg M50. Dedicated versions are also available for Korg M3, Krome and Krome EX, allowing players on these instruments to access the same complete album-based sound concept.
The pack covers all eight tracks from Dream Theater’s eighth studio album, beginning with The Root of All Evil and continuing through The Answer Lies Within, These Walls, I Walk Beside You, Panic Attack, Never Enough, Sacrificed Sons and the epic title track Octavarium.
The sounds are organised across Program Bank E and Combi Bank D, providing a structured workflow for rehearsals, live shows, tribute performances and studio recreations. The collection includes pianos, strings, organs, synth sweeps, orchestral hits, layered combinations, signature-style leads, continuum textures, flute sounds, lap steel guitar colors and song-specific performance patches.
Selected sounds make use of performance controls such as SW2, enabling players to introduce additional strings, layers and tonal variations while performing. Repeated patches in the list reflect their placement and use throughout the different song sections.
