This collection includes 128 presets, divided into 2 alternative sound banks, carefully tailored for use with the Korg microKORG XL and microKORG XL+. The presets follow the synthesizer’s built-in categories and factory bank structure, making them easy to navigate and practical to use in both studio and live situations.
Inside you will find updated sounds inspired by modern electronic music styles such as Trap, Dubstep, Deep House, Minimal, Dub Techno, Neurofunk, and more. The sound banks are designed to give the instrument a more current and production-ready character while remaining fully playable and expressive.
Each preset is conveniently mapped to the pitch wheel, modulation wheel, and the 3 assignable knobs, allowing real-time control, performance expression, and fast sound shaping directly from the instrument.
The presets are provided in .mkxl_all and .mkxlp_all formats. To install the sound bankset on your microKORG XL or XL+, you need to use the official KORG sound editor for Mac or PC. Once the file is opened, simply choose “write all programs” from the MIDI menu.
The video demo was recorded using only the synthesizer itself, with no external processing except for a small amount of compression.
