Nord Keyboards announced a new version of the Nord Piano: Nord Piano 3
Compared to the Nord Piano 2, the new model has a new 88-note keybed with improved features:
- Triple Sensor keybed with improved grand weighted action
- Nord Virtual Hammer Action Technology for greatly improved key response
- Ivory touch for authentic feel
Other improvements are the OLED display which offers an improved visibility of the main parameters of the sound / split / layer currently active, 1 GB memory for Nord Piano Library and 256MB for Nord Sample Library. The user memory banks were also doubled but due to page reorganization the memory locations were reduced from 240 to 200.
The effect section was also improved by adding pedal controlled wah and different depths for Phaser, Flanger and Chorus.
Other features including the weight remain substantially unchanged.
There is no portable 73 keys version of Nord Piano 3 available at the moment.
