JD-X Complete Sounds for UVI Falcon is a professional hybrid analog/digital sound library designed for producers, composers, and sound designers who want the complete sonic character of the Roland JD-XA inside UVI Falcon.
This massive collection includes 488 programs for UVI Falcon, built from more than 60,000 samples created from custom patches of the Roland JD-XA hardware synthesizer. The library is carefully organized into a wide range of categories, including bass, bell, brass, guitar, lead, organ, pad, piano, pluck, strings, synth, and vox sounds.
The Roland JD-XA is known for its unique hybrid architecture, combining analog warmth with digital versatility. JD-X Complete Sounds captures this character in depth, offering a complete palette of expressive, playable, and production-ready sounds for modern music creation.
For recording, a Ferrofish Pulse 16 MX and RME Madiface USB audio interface were used. The original material was recorded in WAV format at 192 kHz / 24-bit and then resampled to 48 kHz / 24-bit, ensuring high-quality audio while keeping the library optimized for UVI Falcon.
Most programs are built from samples of each note across the playable range, giving the sounds consistent tone, detail, and musical response. Some programs include several cyclic Round Robin layers, usually 3 or more, especially for sounds taken from the analog section of the Roland JD-XA.
Other programs are based on samples recorded at intervals of several notes. These usually come from the digital section of the Roland JD-XA and are built from SuperNATURAL Synth timbres. In selected single-layer programs, samples start from randomized positions to help avoid the typical “machine gun” effect when repeating the same note.
Some programs also include samples recorded at different Velocity levels, usually 3 or more, adding more realism, dynamic response, and expressive control.
All patches include built-in UVI Falcon effects, available in the EDIT tab, including Thorus chorus, Delay, and Reverb. These effects can be adjusted to suit your production needs or disabled for a cleaner sound.
In many programs, the CC1 MIDI controller, usually assigned to the Mod Wheel, controls effects such as chorus, phaser, and other expressive parameters. In addition, the Velocity parameter is often assigned to a Low-Pass Filter, allowing softer playing to produce a darker and more filtered tone.
